Chimney Sweeping and Inspections

Our CSIA Certified Chimney Sweeps use state-of-the-art equipment to inspect and sweep chimneys of all kinds, including those venting oil-, wood-, and gas-burning appliances. While sweeping your system, we ensure that no dust or dirt enters your home. We look for any problems that could prevent peak performance and recommend what is needed for your system to burn cleanly and safely. Depending on your need, we have the service package for you:

Annual Pre-Scheduled Sweep and Inspection Service
Fireplace Sweeps (All of our sweeps include a Level 1 Inspection and written report. A full color, digital photo report is also available upon request at an additional charge. Proposals are provided at your request at no additional charge.)
Heater Flue Sweeps (including heater smoke pipe sweeps)
Freestanding Stove Flue Sweeps
Stove Insert Flue Sweeps

As well as:

Level I Inspections – Routine visual inspection of all readily accessible areas of the chimney.
Level II Inspections – Video Scan flues and inspection of accessible areas, including attic and crawl space areas.
Level III Inspections – Invasive inspection including the disassembly of areas of the chimney as required.

Chimney Repairs, Relines & Restoration
We offer a full range of repairs to chimney systems, big and small - from repairing leaky flashing, tuck-pointing and other masonry repairs to relining flues and complete chimney rebuilding. Whatever problem you may have with your chimney-we can help!

Rebuild Fireplace Fireboxes and Install Firebacks
Water damage resulting from a missing chimney cap, coupled with extreme temperature changes takes its toll on the fireplace firebox and so is a common problem in a lot of fireplaces. This kind of damage can effectively reduce the clearance to combustibles in the fireplace and so should be repaired. We do partial to complete firebox rebuilding as well as offer a full line of firebacks to extend the life of your firebox. Cracked, worn and improperly built crowns are another common problem. If yours is cracked or poorly constructed—allowing water penetration—we’ll build a proper concrete one that’s guaranteed not to crack.

The best way to prevent moisture from rain and snow, animals, leaves, and other debris from entering your chimney is to install a chimney cap with a factory built-in animal guard or, even better, a top-locking damper that can actually improve the energy efficiency of your home! Leaky or damaged chase covers on prefabricated metal fireplace systems are potential hazards and allow water to get into the walls of your home causing damage as well as mold problems. We help eliminate problems before they start by replacing masonry and rusty metal chase tops.
